SportDOG Contain + Train: Fence + 500 yd Remote, 100 Acres

Why it matters

One collar handles both an in-ground boundary and remote training. The kit includes 1000 ft of wire and expands to 100 acres, and the remote reaches 500 yards. Seven static levels add to vibration and tone. The collar is submersible to 10 ft and the remote to 25 ft; dogs 10 lb and up.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

Good fit if

Owners who also train
Big land

Look elsewhere if

Dogs that chase traffic or wildlife hard
Fearful or reactive dogs
Homes near busy roads without a physical fence

Pros and cons

Pros

Two functions
100 acres
1000 ft wire

Cons

Price
Digging
Static

Limitations to weigh

Invisible fences don't stop other animals or people coming in, and a determined dog may run through the boundary and then be blocked from returning.
Containment systems need several weeks of flag training with rewards; welfare groups advise a qualified trainer and physical fencing where possible.
Static corrections are aversive; use tone or vibration first and the lowest level that works.
