PetSafe Stay & Play: Replaceable Battery Collar, 3/4 Acre

Why it matters

The same circular Stay & Play boundary (5–105 ft, up to 3/4 acre) pairs with a collar running on a replaceable RFA-67 battery that lasts about 1–2 months. It offers tone-only mode and 5 static levels and fits 6–28 in necks.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

Good fit if

Battery-swap preference
Round yards
No-dig installs

Look elsewhere if

Dogs that chase traffic or wildlife hard
Fearful or reactive dogs
Homes near busy roads without a physical fence

Pros and cons

Pros

No charging
No digging
Lower price

Cons

Battery cost
Circular only
Static

Limitations to weigh

Invisible fences don't stop other animals or people coming in, and a determined dog may run through the boundary and then be blocked from returning.
Containment systems need several weeks of flag training with rewards; welfare groups advise a qualified trainer and physical fencing where possible.
Static corrections are aversive; use tone or vibration first and the lowest level that works.
