Dogtra SMART FENCE: 24 Levels, 85 dB Alarm, No Subscription

Why it matters

SMART FENCE sounds an 85 dB alarm in the home and sends app alerts within Bluetooth range when your dog nears or leaves the boundary. The collar offers tone, vibration, stimulation or combinations across 24 levels, weighs 6.3 oz, and fits dogs 25–100 lb+ with necks from 11 in. There is no subscription; it is not for indoor use.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

Good fit if

Medium and large dogs
Owners wanting alerts
No-plan buyers

Look elsewhere if

Dogs that chase traffic or wildlife hard
Fearful or reactive dogs
Homes near busy roads without a physical fence

Pros and cons

Pros

Alarm and alerts
No subscription
Fine levels

Cons

Outdoor only
Bluetooth range
Coverage not listed

Limitations to weigh

Invisible fences don't stop other animals or people coming in, and a determined dog may run through the boundary and then be blocked from returning.
Containment systems need several weeks of flag training with rewards; welfare groups advise a qualified trainer and physical fencing where possible.
Static corrections are aversive; use tone or vibration first and the lowest level that works.
