Why it matters
This version targets hard-to-train dogs with a stronger set of 5 static levels plus tone-only mode. The circular boundary adjusts from 5 to 105 ft in all directions, up to 3/4 acre. The rechargeable collar lasts about 3 weeks and fits 6–28 in necks.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Determined dogs
- Round yards
- No-dig installs
Look elsewhere if
- Dogs that chase traffic or wildlife hard
- Fearful or reactive dogs
- Homes near busy roads without a physical fence
Pros and cons
Pros
- Stronger levels
- No digging
- Rechargeable
Cons
- Circular only
- Static-focused
- Price
Limitations to weigh
- Invisible fences don't stop other animals or people coming in, and a determined dog may run through the boundary and then be blocked from returning.
- Containment systems need several weeks of flag training with rewards; welfare groups advise a qualified trainer and physical fencing where possible.
- Static corrections are aversive; use tone or vibration first and the lowest level that works.
