PetSafe Pawz Away 2.0 Indoor: 2–12 ft Zone, Keeps Dogs Off

Why it matters

Place the puck near a trash can, couch or doorway to make a 2–12 ft keep-out zone. The collar gives tone, vibration and progressive static, charges for up to 3 months, and fits dogs 10 lb and up with 8–22 in necks. The puck runs up to 8 months on 3 AA batteries, and it works with YardMax and Classic In-Ground collars.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

Good fit if

Guarding trash or furniture
Room boundaries
YardMax owners

Look elsewhere if

Dogs that chase traffic or wildlife hard
Fearful or reactive dogs
Homes near busy roads without a physical fence

Pros and cons

Pros

Small zones
Long battery
Collar compatibility

Cons

Static
Collar needed
Small zones only

Limitations to weigh

Invisible fences don't stop other animals or people coming in, and a determined dog may run through the boundary and then be blocked from returning.
Containment systems need several weeks of flag training with rewards; welfare groups advise a qualified trainer and physical fencing where possible.
Static corrections are aversive; use tone or vibration first and the lowest level that works.
