Why it matters
The passage is 12 x 14 in in a 14 x 16 in ABS frame, recommended for pets under 80 lb. A magnetic flap closes after each pass and can be locked. NAMSAN upgraded screws and hinges, and it fits screen doors, sliding screens, windows or thin exterior doors.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Screen doors
- Medium dogs and cats
- Porches
Look elsewhere if
- Solid doors
- Security needs
- Cold climates
Pros and cons
Pros
- Magnetic flap
- Lock
- Roomy
Cons
- Thin surfaces only
- No insulation
- Plastic
Limitations to weigh
- Measure your dog's shoulder height and widest point; the flap top should sit at least an inch or two above the shoulder, and the step-over should be low enough for seniors and short legs.
- Any flap big enough for your dog can let in wildlife, other animals and, rarely, people; lock the closing panel at night and when you are away.
