Why it matters
The Mammoth is 1000D nylon with breathable mesh lining. It carries a 3 L pouch per side with 2 x 7 in loop panels and an exterior umbrella-style pocket with cross bungees. Hidden zippers avoid catching fur and resist opening, and a hook-and-loop belly strap with UTX-Duraflex buckles keeps it in place.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Roomy pouches
- Hidden zippers
- Tough nylon
Cons
- Heavy-ish
- Fit takes care
- Warm
Limitations to weigh
- Start with an empty pack and keep loads light; a fit adult dog should carry no more than about 10–25% of its weight, and puppies none. Ask your vet first.
- Measure chest girth, neck and back length with a soft tape and use the maker's chart; between sizes, size up.
