Why it matters
The upper deck holds two stainless bowls; remove it to reveal a slow feeder and lick plate below. Removable high walls contain crumbs and splashes. Six heights (5.3, 10.5, 11.5, 12.4, 13.4 and 14.5 in) suit puppies to giant breeds, and it folds.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Growing dogs
- Fast and messy eaters
- Enrichment
Look elsewhere if
- Deep-chested breeds without vet advice
- Heavy chewers
- Owners wanting floor-level bowls
Pros and cons
Pros
- Six heights
- Splash walls
- Slow feeder
Cons
- Plastic
- Many parts
- Hand wash
Limitations to weigh
- Raised feeders are a comfort choice; for large, deep-chested breeds, ask your vet first, because research on raised bowls and bloat is mixed.
- Slow feeders reduce gulping but are not a cure for bloat; watch your dog the first few times so it does not get frustrated or chew the bowl.
