Why it matters
CJYMMFAN uses an extended steel-grid frame it says spans about 30% wider than typical barriers, with a highly transparent mesh so you can see through the rear-view mirror. Straps buckle to the headrests or seat frames without tools in about three minutes. The medium suits mid sedans, compact and mid SUVs and mid trucks, and there is a one-year warranty.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Back-seat or cargo riders
- Mid sedans and SUVs
- Dogs that slip around narrow barriers
Look elsewhere if
- Budget buyers
- Crash restraint
- Full-size trucks (check size)
Pros and cons
Pros
- Wide coverage
- Clear mesh
- One-year warranty
Cons
- Price
- Not a restraint
- Size-specific
Limitations to weigh
- A barrier keeps your dog out of the front seats; it is not designed to hold a dog in a collision.
